About ACEC
The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) is a national trade association headquartered in Washington, D.C. that represents the business voice of engineering firms.
Originally founded in 1905, ACEC is a federation of 51 state and regional councils. Our primary mission is to strengthen the business environment for our member firms through government advocacy, political action, and business education.
ACEC’s membership is as diverse as the industry it represents, with 5,500 member firms representing more than 580,000 employees. In addition to engineering firm members, ACEC also welcomes affiliate members to join the Council. Affiliate firms are those businesses that supply or do business with our member firms. Visit our Member Center for more information.
