Susan Krys

Susan Krys is Senior Vice President, Meetings, Exhibits, and Awards at the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) with responsibilities including management of the Annual Convention, Fall Conference, and meetings portfolio; oversight of the Engineering Excellence Awards and individual awards and scholarship programs; and growth of non-dues revenues including exhibits, sponsorships, and advertising for the association.

Prior to joining ACEC in 2023, Ms. Krys was Vice President, Trade Shows and Marketing at the PLASTICS Industry Association (PLASTICS) where she was responsible for NPE: The Plastics Show and marketing for the association’s trade shows, meetings, and initiatives.

A veteran of more than 25 years in the trade show and association world, Ms. Krys has managed events in health care, telecommunications, food marketing, manufacturing, and sports marketing.  She has extensive experience in exhibit and sponsorship sales, marketing, education programming, event operations, and event team management, and is passionate about creating engaging and rewarding experiences for exhibitors and attendees.

When she’s not working, Ms. Krys enjoys cooking, gardening, photography, and spending time with family and friends.  She and her husband, son, and three dogs reside in a suburb of Washington, D.C.
