Ms. Hanif Drzal currently serves as the Planning and Engineering Branch Chief for the Washington Aqueduct Division of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District. She oversees the development and execution of the capital improvement program. This includes study, design and construction of projects that ensure the nation’s capital drinking water is safe and secure.

Ms. Drzal brings to the Aqueduct more than 20 years of experience as a Licensed Professional Engineer in both the private and public sectors. Her previous positions include, Director of Operations for Whitney, Bailey, Cox & Magnani, LLC.; Section Manager for the Building Construction Branch and Project Manager for the Building Design Branch, both for Fairfax County Government; and several senior engineering positions.

Born in Jakarta, Indonesia, Ms. Drzal came to the United States as a college student and settled in Northern Virginia in 2004. She holds a Master of Science degree, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Ms. Drzal has served as the Mid-Atlantic Chapter President of the Center for JOC Excellence (CJE), Program Chair for the American Council of Engineering Companies of Metropolitan Washington (ACEC/MW) and been active in the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). She is a registered Professional Engineer (PE) in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia as well as a Certified Job Order Contracting Professional (CJP).
