Washington, DC –Today, the ACEC Research Institute announced a major donation from ACEC Florida, a state member organization within the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) federation. The contribution joins a growing list of donations to the Institute.

“ACEC Florida’s donation is critically important to ensuring the Institute can continue its one-of-a-kind research,” said ACEC Research Institute’s Chair, Michael J. Carragher, PE, and chair and CEO of VHB.

The ACEC Research Institute is an independent nonprofit with an emphasis on creating economic data that captures the contributions of the engineering industry, along with futuristic forecasting on the engineering firm evolutions in the future. Topics like Artificial Intelligence (AI), the engineering workforce shortage, and climate resilience are all top of mind.

ACEC Florida Executive Director Allen Douglas said it’s important to support the mission of the Institute. “Our members recognize the usefulness of the Institute’s data not just for business insights, but in telling the story of engineering firms’ contributions to communities.”

The ACEC Research Institute’s data is often cited by the media and is available on the Bloomberg Terminal. Its sought-after experts are also frequent contributors to industry podcasts.
