Washington, DC – Today, American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) President & CEO Linda Bauer Darr released the following statement after Senate passage of the FAA Reauthorization Act:
“The engineering industry strongly supports the FAA reauthorization approved by the Senate. The bill will enhance aviation safety, facilitate economic development, and support the future development of unmanned aircraft used daily by engineering firms. For America’s engineering industry, the FAA bill gives us the runway necessary to design a safer and more enjoyable experience for the traveling public.
“Nearly one thousand ACEC member firm executives will be in Washington next week for the organization’s Annual Convention & Legislative Summit, and they will be urging House lawmakers to send this critical bill to the President to sign into law.”
